The annual Australian Tourism Awards were held on Friday night 2^nd March at The Cairns Convention and Exhibition Centre North Queensland where the Shoal Bay Resort & Spa was announced as the Bronze Award Winner in the category of Meetings & Business Tourism. This outstanding recognition for the Resort marks the culmination of the most successful year on record after winning multiple tourism awards at a local, regional and state level.

Presented by National Tourism Alliance on behalf of the Tourism Industry, the Awards ceremony and Gala Dinner is the largest and most prestigious event on the Australian Tourism calendar.  Award finalists were selected from the winners of the state and territory Tourism Awards where Shoal Bay Resort and Spa was recognised with the Gold Award for Meetings & Business Tourism in NSW.
